Overnight Storms Target the Upper Midwest

On Monday, confirmed tornadoes were spotted in southern Minnesota. As storms continue to rumble through the Upper Midwest through early Tuesday, the SPC has maintained a SLIGHT (level 2 out of 5) risk for severe storms including the cities of Chicago, Milwaukee, and Dubuque.

Areas highlighted in green and brown below have a heightened threat of seeing enough spin in the atmosphere for a few, isolated tornadoes.

With 1-3 inches potentially falling in a short amount of time, keep an eye on some of those low-water crossings. Some heavier totals will be possible too!
