After a soggy start to the week, the Northeast braces for more heavy rainfall as what is left of Debby moves into the region. Post Tropical Storm Debby is tracking up to the Northeast after it make its second landfall near Bulls Bay in South Carolina early Thursday Morning. The threat of severe weather is winding down thankfully as the system is now in Canada.
Much of the Northeast saw rainfall totals between 4-8" of rainfall with heavier totals in some locations. Much of the flood alerts have expired. However, some of the rivers, creeks, and streams remain high so flood warnings are out!
For the Northeast, the forecast becomes really nice as high pressure settles in this weekend! Highs in the 70s and 80s!As a reminder, 2024 is expected to be above average for tropical activity due to a La Nina forming during the peak of hurricane season in September. It only takes one storm to impact you and the time to prepare is before the storm hits.
